Scientism PoetrySCIENCE · LANGUAGE · IMAGINATION
Creeping, touching ground to root, Struggling to survive, The wildness of an invasive species. Turning wind, snow, and thunder Into black berries, Reviving the mulberries of home— Echoes of childhood. Fingertips brush the keyboard, Pouring silent, knotted thoughts. Tapping softly, Even softer. Before The black keys shatter. Before Red blood seeps out.

From the revised manuscript of An Introduction to Scientism Poetry. Original line and stanza breaks retained.
